What does pathology mean to you?
As part of National Pathology Year 2012, we would love to see your best photos that show off pathology from a multitude of personal and professional perspectives. The subject is intentionally broad to mirror the many fascinating branches of pathology and how they touch lives in more ways than most people imagine. Images could come straight from a slide in the lab, show pathology in a wider cultural context, or anything in between. Entry is open to all whether you are a GCSE student, an artist or a retired microbiologist. Please spread the word!
For information on the range of disciplines which pathology covers and for inspiration for your photos please visit the What is Pathology? section of the website.
Please send us your favourite image and a 25–50 word caption telling us how the image relates to pathology and it will be added to the website gallery throughout 2012, with an exhibition of the best images to be held at the College headquarters at the end of the year. A £50 prize will be awarded to the best judged photograph in both junior (under 18) and adult (18 and over) categories.
Please send digital images (JPG only, minimum file size of 1MB) to lucie.houghton@rcpath.org or printed images to Lucie Houghton, The Royal College of Pathologists, 2 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AF.
