Description: Two short videos created by Pathology Departments of the Royal Liverpool Hospital. These give a brief introduction to the activities which occur in order to provide pathology services.
The first video is a short tour of a Biochemistry laboratory commencing with specimen delivery and concluding with the specimen being reported by a Pathologist. This includes a short commentary in the background explaining how the specimen is prepared for reporting; including use of immunohistochemistry and cytogenetics. In addition an emphasis on providing correct patient information and clinical details to aid the diagnosis is made.
