Description: This event follows on from 2010's successful 'Build a Healthy Baby' workshop. The workshop focuses on how Pathology and other medical specialties contribute to the care of mother & baby, and also gives a those interested in Medicine and Pathology a new perspective of the work they could do in such a career. There will be 8 specialties in total, including Neonatal Medicine, Genetics, Obstetrics, Midwifery, Microbiology, Chemical Pathology, Histopathology, and Haematology. Participants will receive short presentations from each speciality, and have the chance to complete a quiz on their way round and win a prize!
