Pathology in Pregnancy, University of Birmingham Conference Park, Birmingham
Whilst most pregnancies are uneventful and end happily, sadly some do not. When a pregnancy develops complications the diferent branches of pathology play a key role in investigating and managing the affected pregnancy, and in providing the parents with information to aid the management of future pregnancies.
The presentation will follow a pregnancy in which a congenital abnormality is identified, highlighting the interaction with different areas of pathology. In addition, the various pathology laboratories will be hosting interactive stands to demonstrate just some of their roles in modern health care.
