The 'Womb' in Health and Disease, Edgbaston High School for Girls, Birmingham

An interactive talk, microscopy and Q and A session for Sixth Form students. Run by Consultant Histopathologists.

12.00-12.30 - Talk about certain pathologies of the uterus and histological changes in the endometruim during the menstrual cycle.

12.30-13.30 Three stations manned by pathologists:
One demonstrating microscopic slides. The students will have an opportunity of 'hands on experience'.

The second will have images and a plastic model of the female genital tract to show the students anatomy and different sites where biopsies are received by pathologists.

Third station will be a chance for the students to have a Q and A session with a Pathologist.

Audience: Sixth Form students.
