Y (and X) Chromosomes

Y = Y (and X) ChromosomesWe all have two sex chromosomes. Men have one X and one Y chromosome (XY) and women have two X chromosomes (XX). Clinical features (for example, infertility) may indicate an abnormal set of sex chromosomes (for example, XXY).

Geneticists are pathologists who investigate sex chromosomes at the microscopic and molecular level.
