In 2003 Michelle Whitaker gave birth to one of Britain’s first genetic ‘designer’ babies.

Jamie was born after being genetically matched, while still an IVF embryo, to his ill brother, Charlie. Last week, the Whitakers were in the news again when doctors declared Charlie cured.
